Largely, my experiences with Twitter are relegated to some limited interactions- some time spent here and there retweeting and talking about some of my own personal passions, including things such as dungeons and dragons, and largely for in-class assignments. This class' use of twitter would be included in the category of times that I've utilized the site's functions in order to have a full conversation or comment on things- I myself usually don't use the website all that often, as it isn't my favourite form of social media. I think that twitter would at least be beneficial as a way to engage with students who did use Twitter commonly to spark ideas for discussion or comment.

I believe the digital divide is a severe problem within schools across America, and it's something that can't really be ignored, especially as we start to move on to a new era where technology is becoming increasingly evident and commonplace. We need to have outreach programs to teach students in more rural communities about the uses of technology, not just within an educational setting, but also abroad- and we need to talk about helping these students with getting access to more programs within the first place. As a teacher it will likely happen that one student might not be able to gain access to websites that would allow them to submit assignments electronically, and in that case then exceptions need to be made, and help given.

Largely within my own classroom I'd like to incorporate Microsoft Word for the purposes of giving students an easy and convenient way to write papers as opposed to writing them by hand, even within the setting of a timed essay, and further I think that it would be beneficial to incorporate the use of powerpoint in order to provide better instructional presentations and projects. These are both programs that are easy to implement and provide great depth to the classroom setting, to be frank, and I think that it would be fantastic to use them.
